JOB SUMMARY

The Sales and Marketing Officer assists the Assistant Director for Marketing in developing the Center’s Marketing Plan as well as the implementation of the work program.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regularly supervises and monitors the performance of the Sales and Marketing Specialists.
  • Undertakes regular sales calls/telemarketing on accounts assigned to ensure efficient coverage and maximum visibility of PICCI in the market.
  • Undertakes “exploratory calls” on new accounts to maximize potential revenue for the Center.
  • Maintains an updated Account File Record of all accounts assigned and explored at all times to ensure efficient references to all pertinent information regarding said account.
  • Gather leads from local and international sources through local and international participation in Trade Fairs, Sales Mission, B2B Events; analyzes data and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • Prepares Letters of Proposal, Reservations Agreement, and Event Contracts to clients based on requirements of the latter and coordinate these requirements to the different sections of the Center as needed.
  • Encourages and ensures repeat business for PICCI by maintaining good working relationships with clients who have held events in the Center.
  • Ensures smooth flow of operations in the Marketing Division by implementing an efficient Account Status Monitoring systems that would allow other personnel access to assist clients of their needs in the event of absence/unavailability of the assigned Sales and Marketing personnel to that account.
  • Prepare marketing materials and sales presentations.
  • Conforms to PICCI policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensures proper upkeep of work area and equipment assigned to him/her.
  • Attend events, trade shows, networking functions, or visit client sites as needed (may require travel or work outside normal hours).
  • Performs other related duties that may be assigned or delegated by the Assistant Director, Marketing Division.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

 Education:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and/or Business Administration and/or Hotel Management and/or Tourism or other fields related to the job

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience from an event management company, hotel, tourism-oriented organizations or other institutions engaged in sales and marketing preferably three (3) years of which involves managing/supervising personnel
