JOB SUMMARY

The Sales and Marketing Officer assists the Assistant Director for Marketing in developing PICCI’s Marketing Plan and in the implementation of approved work programs, sales strategies, and marketing initiatives. The position is responsible for undertaking sales and account management activities, generating business opportunities, strengthening client relations, and promoting PICCI’s facilities and services to maximize revenue generation and market visibility.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Regularly supervises, monitors, and evaluates the performance and activities of Sales and Marketing Specialists and other assigned personnel.
  2. Undertakes regular sales calls, client visits, and account servicing activities on assigned accounts to ensure efficient market coverage and maximum visibility of PICC in the market.
  3. Conducts exploratory calls, market prospecting, and business development activities on new and potential accounts to maximize revenue opportunities for the Center.
  4. Conducts ocular inspections and site visits with prospective and existing clients to present venue options, facilities, and related services of the Center.
  5. Maintains updated Account File Records of all assigned and explored accounts to ensure efficient reference, monitoring, and documentation of all pertinent client information.
  6. Gathers sales leads and market intelligence from local and international sources, analyzes relevant data and trends, and recommends appropriate courses of action to Management.
  7. Prepares letters of proposal, quotations, marketing presentations, and other sales-related documents based on client requirements and coordinates such requirements with the concerned departments and divisions of the Center.
  8. Establishes, develops, and maintains good working relationships with clients, event organizers, partners, and stakeholders to encourage repeat business and strengthen client retention.
  9. Ensures smooth flow of operations within the Marketing Division by implementing and maintaining an efficient Account Status Trace System or similar monitoring mechanism that allows continuity of client servicing and coordination in the absence or unavailability of assigned Sales and Marketing personnel.
  10. Prepares the necessary materials, presentations, and supporting documents for marketing presentations, meetings, conferences, and promotional activities.
  11. Coordinates client requirements, event details, and operational concerns with the Events Management Division and other concerned departments to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  12. Within established limits of authority, performs various administrative functions, including the review and approval of transactions and requests initiated by the Events Management Division.
  13. Ensures compliance with PICCI policies, rules, regulations, office procedures, and standards of conduct.
  14. Ensures proper upkeep, maintenance, and accountability of assigned work area, records, office equipment, and other resources.
  15. Performs other related duties and functions as may be required or delegated by the Assistant Director for Marketing, Director of the Marketing and Events Management Department, or higher Management.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and/or Business Administration and/or Hotel Management and/or Tourism or other related fields relevant to the job

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, account management, business development, events management, customer relations, or other related field
  • Preferably with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience
