JOB SUMMARY

The Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sales Team in executing the courses of action outlined in the approved Work Program under the Marketing and Events Management Department. He/She will plan and carry out all sales activities related to assigned accounts and ensure customer satisfaction through efficient delivery of service to clients.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate and qualify leads.
  • Source and develop client referrals.
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
  • Schedule sales activity.
  • Undertake regular sales calls, maintain and ensure maximum productivity of accounts assigned.
  • Undertake “exploratory or cold calls” on new accounts to maximize potential revenue for the Center.
  • Develop and monitor a client database. Maintain an updated Account File Record of all accounts assigned.
  • Prepare Letter of Proposal to clients.
  • Develop sales and marketing presentation of the Center’s products and services to be used as a marketing tool.
  • Negotiate with clients.
  • Prepare and present Sales Contract.
  • Prepare and maintain sales activity records and sales call report.
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationship.
  • Participate in sales activities such as sales blitzes, trade shows, and competition checks.
  • Meet the individual revenue sales quota for the year.
  • Contribute/provide general support to the Sales Team to achieve the annual revenue target and by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of a Marketing Plan, Budget, and Work Program.
  • Conduct familiarization tours/oculars inspections.
  • Monitor the inventory of promotional materials/sales kit.
  • Monitor industry competition, market conditions and product development.
  • Conform to PICCI rules and regulations.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

 Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and/or Business Administration and Marketing Management / Hotel Management and/or Tourism or other fields related to the job

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience from an event management company, hotel, tourism-oriented organizations or other institutions engaged in sales and marketing (preferred but not required)
  •  At least 300 hours of on-the—job training in a related field if less than two (2) years of relevant work experience
