The forum is in line with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) theme for 2019 entitled Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for All, and the Philippine Commission on Women’s theme for 2017-2022: We Make Change Work for Women.

The said forum seeks to gather, update and share information on best practices on a gender-responsive and gender-sensitive society as well as women empowerment through: participation in economic opportunities; unity in celebration of the International Women’s Day and the National Women’s Month; introduction to more job opportunities for Filipino women; presentation of all initiatives of the Department in upholding its commitment to further promote gender equality and women empowerment. It will be participated in by representatives from private stakeholders, government agencies, community-based entrepreneurs and MSMEs.
