JOB SUMMARY

Develops, recommends, organizes and implements PICCI-initiated events/activities and or joint venture projects.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualizes and recommends special income generating activities,
  • Attends to the requirements of PICCI organized/initiated events.
  • Negotiates with potential “partners” for joint venture projects.
  • Coordinates specific requirements with other departments.
  • Prepares and submits periodic reports involving income and other benefits derived from PICCI initiated projects.
  • Assists Events Services Officers in handling events booked by clients whenever possible.
  • Assists in the public relations campaign to promote PICCI’s facilities, packages and programs.
  • Assists the Marketing Division in promoting PICCI’s facilities, packages and other programs thru client calls and sales blitzes during lean season and/or whenever possible.
  • Ensures smooth flow of operations in the Events Management Division by implementing an efficient Project Status Trace system that would allow other personnel access to assist clients of their needs in the event of absence/unavailability of the assigned Events Services personnel to that account.
  • Conforms to PICCI policies, rules and regulations.
  • Ensures proper upkeep of work area and equipment assigned to him/her.
  • Within established limits of authority, performs various administrative functions, such as reviewing and approving transactions initiated by the Events Management Division.
  • Performs other functions as may be required or delegated by the Assistant Director for Events Management.

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and/or Business Administration and/or Hotel Management and/or Tourism or other fields related to the job

Experience

  • Five (5) years relevant experience from an event management company, hotel or other institutions engaged in organizing events, preferably three (3) years of which involves managing/supervising personnel

  • Good public relations
  • Very good oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and disciplined
  • Analytical, patient and persevering
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet set deadlines
  • Willing to work long hours and during weekends and holidays if needed
  • Computer literate specifically in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
